Hello,
My name is Mr. Guidry (pronounced GIH-dree), or Mr. G for short. I have been involved in theatre since 1992 when I attended a children's theatre summer camp called Kids-N-Co. At the time, the camp was an alternative to a summer of boredom and dodging chores. However, within a week I had found a second home. Since that first summer, I have been involved in a little over 120 plays. I knew at an early age that I wanted to make Theatre Arts a major part of my life. At the University of North Texas, I was introduced to the power of teaching through and with drama and have since then made it my goal to use drama and theatre arts as a tool to educate. I continued my education at Emerson College where I obtained my M.A. in Theater Education and had the opportunity work and learn with some of the most amazing people. I am absolutely thrilled to be given the chance to share my experience and passion with the students at Ravenswood Elementary.
Philosophy
